Hello again,

Wow, it’s been a very busy summer around the club in 09.

We had a pretty good year with our trap shooting program this summer not to many rainy days.

Although we fell a little short of winning first place we sure tried our best and had a great time doing it.

I will have Beth post the winners of our club shoot off as soon as I can track her down I  don’t believes she leaves  her house once the temp. drops  below 70. We also had a very good showing in Central Square at the north –south off.  I know we had some super shooting going on that day. Nice job.

Hands together for Ralph Barker who outshot   everyone in his class taking home the first prize.

I would like to thank everyone who worked hard all summer keeping up with all the events and trap field maintenance. THANK YOU.

Up on the hill this year we also had another great year with our summer 3-d archery league, with around 60 shooters going at it every Thursday all summer long. I will have Bob Fallart post all the final results.

Thanks to Bob Fallard all the work crews that helped put this together .

We also just finished up with our fall trap league; again this was another very successful year. I believe we had over 75 shooters this year. Results are posted; this shoots runs for 6 weeks during Sept-Oct. super job everyone. Hats off to Mike Stiner for taking charge of this one.

As we all know winter will soon be here. But  we can’t let that slow us down.

On Dec 12th our famous steak dinners will start back up and run on the second Saturday of each of the following months, Jan. Feb. and March. In order to make these work we need your help. Each Saturday starting around 9.00 am the fun begins and ends around 9.30 pm. If you can help out for a few or a lot of hours please stop by, there is away plenty for everyone to do. (  for the first one we will setting up Friday night at 6.00pm) There is fur trader sale on Saturday morning. But a lot of help will be needed Sat. evening around 4.00pm.

On Jan 3rd we will again start up the family indoor archery league which will get rolling around 9.00am. Any member between the ages of 4 and 400 wishing  to give it a try just show up.( this is a fun league scores do not matter) There are always plenty of people around who are glad to help you out with your shooting or your child’s shooting But beware of BIG FOOT. (the club has some bows and lots of arrows if you need one to try).Any questions please call Mike Bumpus. Last year we had over 45 youngsters and about 25 adults, I would like to those numbers toped this year.

On Jan 5th the indoor archery 300 league will get fired up. This league is open to any and all members of our club that maybe interested.  This league has 8 teams of 4 doing battle 19 times before it is over.

We start warming up around 6.00 pm each and every Tuesday and get under way by 7.00pm.We are always looking for a few new shooters, please call me if you’re interested or if you have any questions. Please note because each team must have 4 shooters each and every night, we are always looking for some shooters that may  just want to fill in once in awhile and not shoot full time.

Also watch the web site as winter months come and go, because you just might miss the chili cook off the soup cook off and stew cook  off, Nice days to be around the club.

Happy and safe hunting,

DON
